Irony

Irony is a very interesting poetic device, perhaps for all those who want their message to be conveyed to the specific. I love using ironical lines in my writings, so here is one such however it is dedicated to the ironical lives we all live and seem to be happy in!

Irony

Yes...what's anxiously awaited
is also the first to vacate
Things most dear
in a fickle separate
What's in a veil
is the most desired beauty
All individual entities
unified by Irony

"You are the most beautiful"
you said so many times,
never thought you lied
'cause that night in flames
Me and our Love died
could never understand
how paper notes and metal coins
diminished my beauty in your eyes

"You are the strongest"
didn't knew strength flies
how I was made your weakness
on that flowery day of an expensive wedding
when you just cried...
the supposedly eternal bond
which never formed
no matter how hard you tried

"Stay like this, stay dear"
Stay childlike
So untrue was your belief
Now i know as your wife
You are busy, responsibilities spike
I grew up and you liked
Yes dear, you liked.....
No more childlike.....
